This course focuses on the history of European kitchen design, European design details such as minimalism, sustainable practices, and how Universal Design is compatible with European Kitchen Design.
The course includes the following four learning objectives:

The historical significance of European kitchen design with a comparison of U.S. versus European manufacturing methods and materials.

Focus on key components of minimalist kitchen design and identify the trends that are shaping the future of the industry.

Learn about maximizing kitchen storage options and organization of kitchen tools and food supplies.

Recognize the emerging sustainability standards relating to cabinet materials, such as new trends in lacquers, protected woods, and other alternatives. Identify the improvements of ergonomics in European kitchen design. Realize how European cabinetry lends itself easily to Universal Design.
