How to Plan a Steam Room and Sauna for Residential and Commercial Spaces

The focus of this course will be understanding the difference between a sauna and a steam room/hammam/Turkish bath. We will go through its history and how design has changed until the present day. We will look at the different systems, what are the health and wellness benefits they bring, and what to focus on when treating specific needs or conditions.
We will look at the different products in the market, what materials are being used, different types of installation, and what maintenance needs to be taken into consideration to keep air quality clean and the product running efficiently. we will finalize with ADA requirements and safety and compliance considerations.
