Inclusive design is more than just a trend; it's a thoughtful approach that ensures our environments evolve with us throughout our lives. It creates places that welcome people—our family, friends, and future generations.

In this presentation, we'll explore the significance of inclusive design, primarily in the home, focusing on key interior spaces while also addressing exterior areas.

We'll learn why universal design principles provide only a foundation for inclusive design, and why it's essential to consider the unique needs of the occupants in every space. Inclusive design is not just about how we physically move through places but also about creating environments that support neurodiversity and our emotional needs. As we move toward "form follows feeling," we’ll discover how inclusive places can positively impact both functionality and emotional well-being.

Join us as we explore practical strategies  for designing environments that are inclusive, welcoming, and responsive to the needs of all—inside and out.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the Principles of Inclusive Design

  • Identify Key Areas for Inclusive Design Application Both Inside and Outside

  • Explore the Impact of Neurodiversity and Emotional Needs

  • Practical Strategies/Tips for Inclusive Environments

This presentation will transform design strategies by offering insights into how inclusive design can enhance both the emotional and functional experiences of all who engage with your spaces.
