Linda Kafka
Founder, Science in Design Academy
Linda Kafka, a WELL Accredited Professional and design science educator, she will explore the intersection of neuroaesthetics and interior design and its positive effects on our health and well-being. Advances in neuroscience have deepened our understanding of how design features such as details, fractals, circadian lighting and biophilic elements influence our emotions and cognitive functions. Using research and biometrics, Linda will demonstrate the tangible impacts of these design choices on human interaction with their environments. Join us to learn how insights from neuroaesthetics can inspire thoughtful design that supports healthier, happier living spaces.
Learning Objectives:
-
Understand the fundamental concepts of neuroaesthetics and their relevance to interior design.
-
Identify the neural responses triggered by different design elements in interiors.
-
Identify the emotional and physiological effects of various interior design elements.
-
Learn from research and case studies how others apply neuroaesthetics to interior design and architecture for improved health outcomes.
This presentation will transform design strategies by providing insights into how integrating neuroaesthetics can enhance the emotional and physiological experiences of those who interact with your spaces.
