Showroom Manager, Arsin Rug Gallery

Are you tired of telling clients they "can't have nice things" because they have pets? It’s time to change the narrative. Join Bryce Smith, professional rug concierge and foster/boarding parent to over 500 dogs and cats, for a technical deep-dive into the rug industry that prioritizes Health, Safety, and Welfare.

In this course, we move beyond color and pattern to explore the science of fibers and construction. Learn why "chopped" machine-made fibers are a hidden threat to Indoor Air Quality and why the "glue sandwich" of tufted rugs is a ticking time bomb for pet odors. From the "6-inch rule" of respiratory health to the "Blame the Human" philosophy of pet training, you will leave this session with the authority to specify heirloom-quality rugs that are fully restorable, sustainable, and truly pet-friendly. Stop specifying disposable solutions and start investing in the health of your clients' homes and the future of our planet.

Bryce Smith, ASID Affiliate, is the Showroom Manager of Arsin Rug Gallery and has spent over a decade serving the luxury design community through the rug industry. He is passionate about leading through thoughtful connection and meaningful community impact.

Bryce has strengthened Arsin Rug Gallery’s partnerships with organizations such as ASID, IDS, Kips Bay Decorator Showhouse Dallas, and Dwell with Dignity. Through the ASID Sustainability Initiative, he recently formed a sewing circle that transforms discontinued luxury samples into high-end stuffed toys, pillows, and bags supporting Dwell with Dignity’s mission. He is also working to build bridges between the design community and The Dallas Opera by expanding access to the arts for the families Dwell With Dignity serves.

A dedicated animal advocate, Bryce has cared for over 500 dogs and 30+ cats through fostering and professional boarding. Today, he focuses on education—equipping designers and homeowners with practical knowledge to create spaces where pets and luxury coexist beautifully.

He is currently developing his CEU, Dogs & Design: You CAN Have Both, into a forthcoming coffee table book, continuing his mission to prove that beauty, compassion, and community belong in every well-designed space.

Inspire! 2026 will take place October 12-13 in Dallas
